Meteor
Meteor is a software that calculates the cost-effectiveness of heat recovery systems based on specific meteorological data. The program can calculate the net present value, depreciation, and CO2 savings. It creates statistics and uses them to calculate theoretical data, such as savings or costs, based on the equipment's life cycle (LCC = Life Cycle Cost). The condition for a real simulation of the investment's life cycle costs and payback time is that cost parameters, such as purchase price or energy costs, be specified as practically and realistically as possible for the designated location. The operation is fundamentally simple and intuitive, but it also offers a so-called "expert mode" for professionals, where the quantity and quality of the input values determine the excellence of the output data. Users of the tool can determine, with minimal effort, the costs arising from different heat recovery concepts for central air conditioning units and receive decision support during the entire system design process.
